Bring your pet to work

Every year on 24th June, you should take your dog to your work because it is the National Take Your Dog to Work Day. This started in 1999. Today, according to the American Pet Products Manufacturers Association, only 1 in 5 companies in the US, allows their employees to bring their pet to their work. This is great for you and for your pet. Dogs can improve the atmosphere and make it more pleasant, so you can work efficiently. If you are one of those people, who will bring their dog to the work, you should know certain things. The main goal is to have a successful and safe experience.

The first thing you will have to do is to talk with your boss or someone from your company and check can you bring your dog. As aforementioned, only 1 in 5 companies will allow you this. Your workplace can be stressful for your dog. In order to make the atmosphere more pleasant, bring your dog’s blanket, snacks, and toys. Also, if you have a hungry or thirsty pet, you will have a serious distraction, so bring a lot of food and water. Keep your god away from the other dogs. The most important is safety.

Also, pay attention to the behavior of other dogs. Some of them may be aggressive. If another dog’s look at your dog, with the ears forward and growls, this is an assign of adrenaline in his system. If you keep your dog isolate , you won’t have this problem. In addition, don’t forget that you are the boss in your house and in the workplace. Your dog may challenge your authority.
